On Friday, September 5, the 3Arena in Dublin will open its doors to host a card that will bring together three countries and two main events, both with WBC International titles on the line.
In the headline bout, local hero Michael “Irish Mick” Conlan (19-3, 9 KOs) will look to write a new chapter in his career when he faces Britain’s Jack Bateson (20-1-1, 6 KOs) for the WBC International featherweight title. Conlan wants to put his name back among the elite, but Bateson arrives determined to spoil the party and take the belt back home.
The second title fight will have a very special flavor: a clash between British experience and Mexican grit. Former world champion Charlie Edwards (20-2, 7 KOs) will take on Salvador Juárez (15-2, 5 KOs) for the WBC International super flyweight title. Edwards wants to solidify his path toward another world title shot, while Juárez travels to Ireland with the mission of pulling off the upset and proving that Mexico remains a land of warriors.
Dublin will thus witness a card with a historic touch, where the WBC’s Green and Gold becomes the ultimate prize of the night.
