Dr. Ricardo Monreal appointed president of the Sonora Boxing Commission

Recommended by the Governor of Sonora Alfonso Durazo, through the Secretary of Government, in with the Secretary of Health (SSA) and the Sports Commission of the State of Sonora (Codeson), Dr. Ricardo Monreal is appointed as the president of the Boxing Commission, Wrestling and Mixed Martial Arts of the State of Sonora.

Monreal Molina is recognized for his hard work for boxing in Sonora, which he has always developed with passion and professionalism, plus proven moral quality prioritizing the integrity of boxers and athletes.

Ricardo Monreal has already been part of the state program for 13 years, where he was first ring doctor (2009-2011) and later head of Medical Services (2012-21), a position he held before being elected president.

Likewise, he is internationally recognized as secretary of the Security Committee of the World Boxing Council and member of its Medical Committee.

In a ceremony this Monday, Monreal Molina was sworn in as President of the Boxing Commission, committing himself to continue working for the good of the sport.
