World Boxing Council flyweight champion, Julio César “Rey” Martinez, will defend his crown versus Welshman Jay Harris, in Frisco, Texas, on February 29.
“Rey” Martínez prepares in San Diego, California, at the “Canelo” Álvarez gymnasium guided by his trainer Mauricio Aceves and his representative Eddy Reynoso.
This will be the first defense of the world title he won by defeating Nicaraguan Cristofer Rosales and now arguments about Harris being the third British rival in a row.
“We have already defeated Andrew Selby, Charlie Edwards and now we are going against Harris. Jay Harris is intense, and he comes forward; He also likes to box. We are preparing for everything Harris presents on the day of the fight,” says Julio who`s originally from the ProHogar colonia in Mexico City.
