
The World Boxing Council lightweight champion Devin Haney, will defend his title against the former Cuban world champion, Yuriorkis Gamboa, this Saturday, November 7, at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, in Hollywood, Florida.
Davin Haney (24-0, 15 KOs) returns to action for the first time since November 2019, after injuring his right shoulder, defeating Alfredo Santiago in the first defense of his belt in Los Angeles. 21-year-old Haney had a successful surgery and is now ready to resume his quest to dominate at 135 pounds in a division rife with big names.
Yuriorkis Gamboa (30-3, 18 KOs), former world champion and Cuban hero, after his Olympic gold medal, aims to become a three-time world champion on his third attempt, having unsuccessfully challenged Terence Crawford and Gervonta Davis.
The fight, which is promoted by Eddie Hearn and Matchroom Boxing, will be broadcast on DAZN.
