“Daddy” Danny!

Former US world champion Danny “Swift” Garcia (33-2, 21 KOs) easily defeated Ukrainian Ivan Redkach (23-5, 18 KOs) by unanimous decision, successfully defending his WBC welterweight Silver Belt, at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

Danny dominated from start to finish and this was reflected on the cards by the amply wide margin: 118-110 (Tony Paolillo) and 117-111 x 2 (Glen Feldman and Don Trella).

Ivan was under severe and sustained pressure throughout. He suffered an ugly cut on his left eyebrow and the doctor checked him several times to assess  if he could continue fighting.

Danny remained unmarked, as his opponent  could never connect with hard or substantial punches.
