For three years the WBC has been building and preparing a new Ap based on a system to register the weight management program called WBC BoxMed.
This one will create an individual Registry for each boxer including mandatory life insurance. And it’s free for everyone. Powered by Conexion Facil, it can be used for records and medical information.
Via it, a boxer can upload and send a video on the scale registering the weight. It will start next year. At the WBC Uzbekistan Convention, President Mauricio Sulaiman said the weight issue for fighters is their most difficult and dangerous opponent.
Available to affiliated countries, Federations and State Commissions, it will mandatory for the champion and the first twenty ranked. It will be interconnected with the WBC Clean Boxing Program.
Access to it will be via a master administrator, not public. It’s been developed by Andrew Kluger, who is the President of Emergency Response International. For his outstanding work, the WBC has awarded him Man of the Year accolade.
WBC President Mauricio Sulaiman said:”It is something that will change health nutrition for many fighters. An integral part of the future. It will be a game changer.”
When it starts up, there will be a six months grace period. For those who ignore it, fines, suspension and withdrawal of recognition, are sanction options.
