Heavyweight and former world crown contender Chris “The Nightmare” Arreola will face former world champion Andy “The Destroyer” Ruiz in a war of Mexican blood.
The fight is on May 1 at the Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, California and will be broadcast on Fox Sports PBC – PPV.
For Arreola, this fight is an opportunity to get his career back on track and aspire to fight for the world title again.
“I’ve been looking forward to this fight for five months. It’s so important to my legacy. I want to make the fans happy with a great performance, so I hope you enjoy the show,” Arreola commented.
“I am a lucky person to have been a boxer from a young age. I give my all, every time I get in the ring. Defensively I have grown a lot working with Joe Goossen. He has taught me a lot about how to keep my hands up and skillfully fight back.
“I feel great. I have worked hard for months. I know I must make this a great fight for the fans and for myself. I know how crucial this fight is to my career. I am working to win and I will give absolutely everything.”
