Confederation of Workers and Rural Artisans and the WBC Plan an Alliance to Promote Sports

At our traditional “Martes de Cafe”, we were visited by Abel Domínguez Azuz, Secretary-General of the Confederation of Workers and Rural Workers of Mexico, who is looking to form an alliance with the WBC to promote boxing in workplaces.

This is what he commented: “Thank you for the opportunity to be here with you. I want to tell you that the national unions of Mexico are now, more than ever, looking for unity and working together.

“I am originally from Zumpango, State of Mexico, from a humble background and a working-class family. We want to form a link with the WBC to promote boxing in workplaces, either with classes, events, or to see how we can strengthen unity through this sport.”

Mauricio Sulaimán commented: “We have been trying to have this meeting for some time, and fortunately, we were able to meet today. Boxing is the sport that has given the most glory to Mexico and is undoubtedly a synonym for unity. We are going to work on this opportunity to join the Confederation of Workers and Rural Workers and contribute through boxing.”
