Vintage Nicaraguan coach Luis Cortez who worked the corner of Alexis Argüello, believes Ken Shiro, the World Boxing Council’s light flyweight champion, won`t resist the feline like reflexes of his latest pupil Felix Alvarado.
“I don’t think that Shiro lasts against my fighter Felix, who definitely has the power to knock out the Japanese champion. Shiro is fast but he doesn’t count on the Felix mobility. Felix has to move constantly to follow him and cut off the ring to unload his punches. Felix normally does five rounds of shadow of five minutes each, he sharpens every single round.”
Nicaraguan Félix Alvarado (35 -2, 30 KOs), the IBF light flyweight champion, will travel to Japan to face WBC champion Ken Shiro (16-0, 9 KOs) on December 23, in an attractive battle to be held at the Yokohama Arena in Kanagawa, Japan.
