The World Boxing Council (WBC), in coordination with the Voluntary Anti-Doping Association (VADA), maintains a strict zero-tolerance policy toward the use of Trenbolone.
A prohibited anabolic substance within the Clean Boxing Program, due to the severe damage it can cause to the athletes’ bodies.
Trenbolone, a steroid originally designed for veterinary use, has been the subject of multiple medical warnings due to its adverse effects on cardiovascular, hepatic, and hormonal health. Its use artificially alters natural testosterone levels, which can lead to testicular atrophy, infertility, severe hormonal imbalances, high blood pressure, and irreversible liver damage.
Furthermore, various clinical studies warn that prolonged consumption of this substance can generate psychiatric disorders, such as extreme irritability, aggression, or severe depressive episodes, representing a physical and mental risk for the boxer and those around them.
The Clean Boxing Program has reiterated that its main mission is to protect the health and life of the fighters, guaranteeing a clean and fair sport.
