Undefeated world champion Terence “Bud” Crawford, lightly breezed though an open media training session in Las Vegas, prior to the Megafight for welterweight supremacy against Errol “The Truth” Spence Jr., on July 29 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
Meticulously taken through his paces by Coach Brian “Bo Mac” McIntyre, this is what Bud had to say, as the sweat cooled:
“This fight means everything. It puts the cherry on top of my career. I’ve been waiting for this moment for a long time and I can’t wait to get in the ring. We are here in Las Vegas early to get used to the atmosphere and the heat. Come fight night, we’ll be 110% ready. We are adjusting well.
“The welterweight division has had many great fights in the past and this will be one more. There is also a bright future for the division with a host of great talent on the way. It continues to be a hotbed for the sport.”
“I am only here to win the fight. We’re both professional boxers and I don’t care about any plans he’s making after this fight. I don’t think about a knockout, I only think about getting the victory and that is what I will do next Saturday. I think I could beat anyone in any sport. That is my nature. I play to win. If I’m going to challenge you, I’m going to win and I wholeheartedly believe it. That could be anyone. Even if I’m playing Michael Jordan one on one.
“Errol thinks he’s going to tear me apart, but he’s going to have to show me. All that talk is fuel for the fire that’s already burning. He’s going to have to prove everything he says on fight night.
This fight is happening at just the right time. All belts are on the line. What better way to have this fight than to have it for the undisputed welterweight title?!”
The fight is organized by Premier Boxing Champions and will be televised on Showtime PPV.
