“Chacala`s” star quality

International World Boxing Council super flyweight champion, Estrella Valverde, declares herself ready to defend her title against Gloria Gallardo, edging ever  closer to the fight for the absolute title, against  its champion Lupita Martinez.

With a streak of six wins in a row, “Chacala” Valverde is looking to chalk another victory at  “Neza mi Barrio”, defending her belt and  conquering the FECOMBOX; which will be on the line.

“Before thinking about a world title fight, first I must defeat  Gallardo. In boxing there is no small rival. Anyone can surprise you, so we have to be well prepared to finish  with the hand up,” she said.

The International champion, who has a record of 16-5-2, with 3 ko´s, made it clear that in case she gets the victory she wants Guadalupe Martinez next.

“I have fulfilled all the necessary requirements. If I get the win I hope they give me the opportunity”, said the “Chacala”, who will have some experience advantage over her rival as Gallardo has a record of 7-1-1 and four knockouts .
