During this week, we had the opportunity to talk with famous and successful businessman Carlos Bremer, who not only told us about how he started in the business world, but also about how he came to help project Mexican cinema nationally and internationally.
Bremer never imagined that fate would lead, ink and link him to the Silver Screen. However, his passion for sports and the true success stories of Mexican sports stars, were his main motivation to bring this to the screen, highlighting feats that would have otherwise gone unnoticed.
Carlos Bremer invited all WBC TALKS attendants to enjoy Mexican cinema and give it a try, as we often prefer other stories. However, the three films he recommends to us today assure us, they will not only be a moment of recreation but also of memorable inspiration.
• “The perfect game”. 2010 film that tells the story of a children’s baseball team that were world champions, becoming the first Mexican sports team of its kind to beat the United States team in the United States in 1957.
• “Champions”. Film that tells the story of the Mexican U-17 soccer team that in 2005 won against Brazil in the World Cup in this category.
• “108 seams”. The film was released in the framework of the World Baseball Series remembering when the Mexican baseball team won the Caribbean Series in 2013. A sequel to The Perfect Game
