This Wednesday, the wax statue of the undisputed 168-pound champion, Saúl ‘Canelo’ Álvarez, was unveiled and will be exhibited at the Mexico City Wax Museum.

The uncanny likeness was liked and approved by Canelo himself, who admitted that of all the statues that have been made of him, this is by far the best.

“Very good, I think that of all the ones I’ve seen it’s the best,” Saúl said with a hearty laugh.

  In order to create this version, Canelo was  scanned from head to toe, so that the statue depicting the King of Wacks-in wax, would turn out to be appreciably more substantial than a mirror image.
