“Canelo” seeks to uproot Plant

Super middleweight champion Saúl Canelo Álvarez and undefeated Caleb “Sweethands” Plant will face off next Saturday, November 6, live on SHOWTIME PPV at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas in a Premier Boxing Champions event, and the winner will indelibly stamp his name in the history books, as the first undisputed 168-pound world champion in the four-belt era.

Saúl “Canelo” Álvarez has passed the fourteen days pre-weigh-in. Pre-weigh-ins of 30, 14 and 7 days prior to a match are required by the World Boxing Council in order to prevent sudden dehydration that causes serious damage to boxers.

Demonstrating his discipline and commitment, “Canelo” reported 174.8 pounds, being under the weight limit 14 days in the run up to this historic battle.
