“Canelo” readying

Saul “Canelo” Alvarez (51-1-2, 35 Ko’s), who`s the middleweight champion of the World Boxing Council, will fight American Daniel “Miracle Man” Jacobs (35-2, 29 ko’s), during the Cinco de Mayo weekend at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

The fight will take place on Saturday May 4, 2019 and will be broadcast live exclusively by DAZN.

Saul “Canelo” Alvarez passed the pre-weigh in, 30 days prior to this mega combat.

Pre-weigh ins of 30, 14 and 7 days prior to a fight recognized by the WBC, are required in order to prevent sudden dehydration that causes serious damage to boxers.

Demonstrating his discipline and commitment, “Canelo” was 168.2 pounds, being comfortably below the limit of 176 pounds for the 30 day weigh-in viz the middleweight division.
