Bryan “Niño Maravilla” Flores became a new member of the World Boxing Council family when he received the FECARBOX Champion belt in Mexico City.
World Boxing Council President Mauricio Sulaimán, and fisticuff KO legend Carlos “Cañas” Zárate were in charge of presenting the title to the thrilled young man from Ciudad Juárez.
“I am delighted to give you this belt from the hands of my super idol Carlos Zárate and tell you that it is an honor to welcome you to the Family of the World Boxing Council,” said Sulaiman Saldivar.
“I am very happy, very grateful to God because it has cost me a lot to win a title endorsed by the WBC. This is the beginning of my goal…to be world champion,” Bryan said.
“What I experienced is part of a great dream, “I feel happy because I have achieved this by leaving my comfort zone, I have left my children, I have left my family, to be here precisely. It was my dream, and here I am.”
For Bryan this belt: “Is a great recognition to my Parents for all the effort they have made for me, for all that I have sacrificed. The goal is to be world champion, this is only the first step, to try all the harder because the toughest fights will come next. One hundred percent ready to gain a world championship opportunity.”
Flores Favela, who`s only 23 years of age, defeated José Luis “El Cachorro” Marcano by technical knockout.
