Brilliant Haney overwhelms brave Abdullaev

Rising Star Devin Haney, amply demonstrated just why he`s  considered one of the greatest prospects of recent years.

Devin dipped into his eclectic boxing repertoire, pulling out  powerful and fast combinations, complimenting them  with pinpoint jabs and searing uppercuts on Zaur Abdullaev, who could do little  to stem the rising tide wrought by  the 20-year-old wunderkind.

In the face of unrelenting one way traffic,  Zaur’s corner wisely decided that enough was enough,  and in timely fashion, they wisely and humanely retired him from the fight at the end of the fourth round.

With this important and impressive victory, Devin Haney remains  unbeaten, conquering the lightweight interim crown of the World Boxing Council. After the fight, Haney promptly sent an express delivery direct challenge to the champion Vasiliy Lomachenko.
