Briedis faces Glowacki in the World Boxing Super Series semifinal

The second World Boxing Super Series tournament in the cruiserweight division continues with major bouts, namely the semifinal between Mairis Briedis (25-1, 18 KOs) and Krzysztof Glowacki (31-1, 19 KOs) which will take place on June 15 in Riga, Latvia.

Mairis, who is a prominent policeman in Riga, comes from a victory over Noel Mikaelian in the quarterfinals in November last year, where he won the prestigious World Boxing Council Diamond belt.

For his part, Glowacki won a unanimous decision victory over Maksim Vlasov also in November.

The other semifinal round of the tournament between Yunier Dorticos and Andrew Tabiti will be held on the same card.
