The Continental Americas super welterweight champion of the World Boxing Council, power punching Ukrainian Serhii Bohachuk, will defend his title against the American, Brandon Adams, in the main fight of a card this Thursday, at the Municipal Boxing Gymnasium “Felix Pagan Pintor”, from Guaynabo, Puerto Rico.
This fight was supposed to happen last December, but Bohachuk contracted COVID-19 the week of the fight, so it was rescheduled for this date.
Bohachuk (18-0, 18 KOs) is a knockout artist from Ukraine, who`s polished off every opponent so far. Like many boxers, the 25-year-old didn’t have much time in the ring during 2020 due to the coronavirus and he only ended up fighting once when he knocked out Mexican Alejandro Davila in September.
Now, Bohachuk is looking to make a big impression in his first main event on American television, as he moves toward the world title contest.
Adams (22-3, 14 KOs), the fifth season winner of “The Contender,” bounced back from his unanimous decision loss to WBC middleweight champion Jermall Charlo in June 2019 with a knockout victory over Sanny Duversonne in December.
The fight, which is promoted by Ring City USA, will be broadcasted on NBC Sports Network.
