Blessing from The Holy Father Francis to Acapulco
The World Boxing Council received the blessing of Pope Francis via video conference, during the body’s recently concluded annual Convention in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
Héctor Sulaimán, Vice President of the WBC, visited the Holy Father with Adrian Pallarols, who recorded an emotional message focused upon the tragic situation in which Acapulco finds itself, after the destruction Hurricane Otis.
It motivated Mike Tyson, Roberto Durán, Holyfield and many more legendary champions to sign gloves to be auctioned in support of this vital and noble cause.
The World Boxing Council Family joins the multiple solidarity actions with a wide variety of activations to provide direct support and raise much-needed funds to address immediate needs, and rebuild the beautiful port of Acapulco.
