
Cheered by more than two thousand fans at the Maurice Thorez Sports Palace, in Nanterre, France, French-Moroccan Bilel Jkitou (12-0-0, 3 Ko’s), won the World Boxing Council super welterweight Francophone tile, defeating Estonian Pavel Semjonov (24-12-2, 9 Ko’s).
Jkitou, who was the WBC’s Mediterranean champion, demonstrated his quality by dominating Semjonov to gain victory by unanimous decision.
Judges Robin Dolpierre and Zvonko Rukavina scored the match 119-109, while Nikolay Sigov scored 118-110. Robert Verwijs from Holland was Referee, the Supervisor was WBC Vice President Houcine Houichi from Tunisia.
