Former heavyweight champion, Australian Lucas “Big Daddy” Browne knocked out Samoan Junior Pati in the fifth round at  the AMI Netball Center, St Johns, New Zealand.

Browne controlled the pace of the fight and knocked Pati down with a hard left hook and a harder uppercut combination in the fifth round.

Browne’s record improved to 27-1 (24 KO) as  he impressively claimed the silver title of the WBC Asian Boxing Council.

“I’m happy with the fight, and I had a lot of support here and the atmosphere was tremendous.  I knew when I caught him with my uppercut that he would not get up,” Lucas commented.
