This Thursday, our friend Benjamin Rendon will be induced to the Tijuana Hall of Fame, in his home State.
Delighted and glad at this news he said “What little I have done in this beautiful sport has been with great enthusiasm, professionalism and passion. I have followed all World Boxing Council assignments with love, always trying to highlight the name of the body and my city as is Tijuana on the highest.”
With 17 years as a Judge and Supervisor of the WBC, as well as 30 years as A Commissioner who started in the Tijuana Boxing Commission, Benjamin commented on the opportunity given by the then and forever beloved President of the WBC, José Sulaimán, who suggested many tips to perform better as Judge.
Don Benjamin was inducted into the 2009 Sports Hall of Fame of Tijuana, at the Museum of Legends of the World Boxing Council in the University of Sport of San Bernardino California, in 2011. Subsequently at the United States National Hall of Fame, in 2015 and at the Boxing Hall of Fame in California in 2018.
