Isaac “Pitbull” Cruz and contender Angel Fierro will face off at super lightweight; in addition, Jesus “Mono” Ramos Jr. and former champion Jeison Rosario will face off at middleweight.
Here’s what the star fighters had to pointedly say:
DAVID BENAVÍDEZ:
“He’s been working really hard. I told everyone I was going to break David Morrell’s face and that’s exactly what I’m going to do on Saturday. Everyone is going to see a great fight. I prepared really well. Don’t blink, because this fight will end before time.
“There’s nothing else to say, David Morrell is going to see what happens. I don’t care what he has to say, I just hope he’s ready to fight.
“I’m very grateful for all the love and support from the fans. That’s why I do it and that’s what will make Saturday night an incredible event.”
DAVID MORRELL JR.
“I don’t care what he brings to the ring. They call him the monster, but I’m not worried about any of that. I have my team behind me and I’m ready.
“I’m 100% sure of victory. I have Ronnie Shields on my side, and we had a great training camp in Texas. I feel great and I’m not worried about what anyone says. I’ll have the last word on Saturday.
“Inside the ring, no one can stop what we’re going to do to each other, only the referee. I promise I’m here to knock him out. I have everything I need to win. This is my time. 2025 is my year.”
