Alycia Baumgardner will defend her WBC 130-pound title against Delfine Persoon on Sept. 27 at Trilith Studios Town Stage in Fayetteville, North Carolina.

Baumgardner (15-1, 7 KOs) of Detroit will fight for the first time since last July, when she defeated Christina Linardatou in a rematch to retain her super featherweight championship.

Baumgardner owns a fourth-round TKO win over Terri Harper and a split decision win over Mikaela Mayer. These pair of wins helped establish her as one of the best fighters working today.

Persoon (49-3, 19 KOs) is a former champion from Belgium. The 39-year-old’s last fight was in May 2023, with a decision win over Bo Mi Re Shin in Belgium.

In 2019 she lost a majority decision to Irish star Katie Taylor and two fights later by unanimous decision in the rematch.
