
On Saturday, November 23, 2024, Bakary Samake, the emerging star of French boxing, will try to win the World Boxing Council Silver super welterweight title, when he faces Australian Wade Ryan, at the Forum des Halles in Paris, France.
The event will be held under the marquee of the Westfield Forum des Halles and will be open to the general public. 5,000 spectators are expected at Les Halles from 6 p.m. in a country where boxing fans are increasing.
Bakary Samake, a 21-year-old boxing prodigy from the Paris region, has a record of 16 wins without a defeat and 8 knockouts; and comes into this fight after defeating Julio Alamos by decision last June.
For his part, Ryan has a record of 22 wins, 11 losses and one draw. In his most recent fight he drew in an entertaining contest against Takeshi Inoue in Japan.
This Friday the official weigh-in of the evening took place. Wade Ryan weighed 69 kilos, while Bakary Samake weighed 69.8 kilos, so they reported themselves ready to get into the ring.
