Avanesyan wins  EBU belt in Spain with KO

Russia’s David Avanasyan knocked out  tough Spaniard Kerman Lejarraga, during the ninth in main battle of a card organized at the Arena Bilbao in Spain.

Avanasyan is the new EBU welterweight champion wresting  the crown from the Spanish fighter, who in the first three rounds showed good conditions, but from the fourth round the Russian’s superiority was evident.

In that fourth round Avanesyan knocked down Kerman for the first time, who got up and  managed to continue fighting.

The referee stopped the bout at thirty seconds of the ninth round , after Avanesyan punished Lejarraga without receiving a response.
