Andrew Kluger, WBC Man of the Year 2023

Since its creation, the World Boxing Council has devoted itself  to take care of the physical and mental well being  of all boxers inside and outside the ring.

So, we are  very  proud to present Dr. Andrew Klugger with the prestigious 2023 Man of the Year distinction, as his contributions to the organization consider the quality of life, health and general well-being of boxers. as the  top priority.

The World Boxing Council partnered with the digital platform Easy Connection 2.0 led by Dr. Andrew Kluger Gerber, to launch the “BoxMed” application. An application designed to help boxers to monitor their weight, ensuring their physical condition by monitoring their weight loss leading up to a fight so it is not drastic.

One of the biggest rivals for boxers is the scale, so this application encourages the fighter to maintain a constant status so that through their mobile device they can measure that they have a timely balance in their weight and in this way, they do not reach extreme situations to “make weight”.

This application will not only track the weight of boxers, but will also monitor medical injuries, provide advice focused on nutrition, training tips, and much more.

For this reason, President Mauricio Sulaimán and the Board of Governors of the World Boxing Council elected Dr. Andrew Kluger Gerber as Man of the Year 2023 during our last annual Convention, held in November in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
