Alycia Baumgardner retains undisputed championship

Alycia Baumgardner and Jennifer Miranda put on what was probably the best fight of the night.

In her return to the ring, Baumgardner proved that she is still the queen of the super featherweight division.

 Miranda started strong, pressing with her jab, but from the third round on, Baumgardner settled in, used her speed well, and defended intelligently. She dominated the short exchanges and closed the rounds strongly. It was a solid and strategic performance that confirmed her status as the undisputed champion.

Spain’s Jennifer Miranda improved as the fight went on. Both fighters exchanged blows freely and looked to end the fight quickly, but both withstood the brimstone blitz.

Baumgardner won by unanimous decision (98-92, 98-92, 97-93).
