All set for Gabriela Sanchez’s title defense
Gabriela “Bonita” Sanchez will defend her WBC Silver Featherweight title against South African Simangele “Smash” Hadebe at the Ignacio Zamora Stadium in Puebla, Mexico.
The weigh-in took place today where both boxers fared well.
Gabriela Sanchez: 50.7 kilos.
Simangele Hadebe: 50.3 kilos.
This will be Sanchez’s third title defense and Hadebe’s first opportunity to fight for a WBC endorsed championship.
Also, serving as Secretary of Sports and Youth, she is promoting a project where the proceeds will go to a charitable project.
All the funds raised for the fight will be destined for the State DIF (National System for the Integral Development of the Family) Maternity Home and for the Mental Health Home for children and adolescents.
Gabriela “Bonita” Sanchez comes in with a record of 11 wins, 6 losses and 1 KO.
Simangele “Smash” Hadebe has a record of 13-3-2 and 5 knockouts.
