
The African Boxing Union (ABU) will hold its 2024 Convention in the beautiful city of Kampala, Uganda from August 18-23.

The ABU, chaired by Houcine Houichi, is a non-profit regional body responsible for sanctioning fights in the African Continent.

The ABU has been affiliated with the World Boxing Council since 1974 and has had champions in its history who have stood out as colossal icons in the world of boxing, namely Azumah Nelson, Ike Quartey, Joshua Clottey, Isaac Chilemba, David Kotey, Charles Manyuchi and Olanrewaju Durodola.

During the upcoming ABU convention, seminars for judges and referees will be held with the support of 2 important international ring officials from the WBC.
