A day like today, Sandy Saddler retained his world title

American KO maestro lanky Sandy Saddler, retained what was then known as the junior lightweight ( today super featherweight) State of Ohio Athletic Commission crown by defeating Mexican, Lauro Salas with a ninth round TKO. The bout took place at the Cleveland “Arena”. Salas sank to the canvass, and Referee, Jackie Davis, promptly stopped the combat.
