A day like today, Larry Holmes defended his WBC heavyweight title

American Larry Holmes defended the WBC heavyweight championship after defeating Gerry Cooney by TKO. The bout took place at the Caesar´s Palace in Las Vegas, Nevada. The Referee, Mills Lane, stopped the action when Cooney´s trainer got into the ring. The Judges were Duane Ford, Dave Moretti and Jerry Roth.
