Julio Cesar Chavez defeated  Puerto Rican southpaw Hector “Macho” Camacho by UD, after twelve sensational rounds, and retained the WBC superlight weight  crown, in a battle that took place at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas- a sellout of Don King’s promotion. Richard Steele was the Referee. The Judges were Carol Castilian, Harry Gibbs and Dalby Shirley.
