A day like today, Japan’s Yasuey Yakushiji conquered WBC title

December 23, 1993.- Japan’s Yasuey Yakushiji conquered the World Boxing Council bantamweight championship,  defeating South Korean Jung-Il Byun. The fight was at the Aichi Prefectural Gym in Nagoya, Japan. The Referee  was Tony Perez, while the Judges were Bárbara Perez, Guillermo Ayon and Alberto Barahona.
