On December 27th at the Mohammed Abdo Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, Japan’s Naoya Inoue will headline The Ring V: Night of the Samurai card, defending his undisputed Super Bantamweight crown against Mexico’s Alan David Picasso.
Inoue will share the card with important Japanese figures Junto Nakatani, Kenshiro Teraji, Taiga Imanaga, the brothers Hayato Tsutsumi and Reito Tsutsumi, among others.
Naoya commented on some aspects of the important upcoming fight:
“I am grateful for the opportunity to compete in Saudi Arabia as part of the Riyadh Season. After my fight with Murodjon Akhmadaliev, I will show how I adapt my style for my fight with Picasso.
“My impression of him is that he is a very aggressive fighter. It is not going to be an easy fight, but I will give my best. This event is a global showcase, so I am determined to give everything.
“First of all, I will have to concentrate on the next fight against Picasso, and then we will be thinking about facing other rivals next year. I take it step by step, and the first thing is to win on December 27th.”
