
The World Boxing Council is proud to announce that former world champion Amir “King” Khan will attend the WBC Annual Convention, in Bangkok, Thailand, from November 30 to December 5.
This event, which brings together some of the greatest figures in international boxing, will be a true celebration of the sport’s history, present, and future.
Over several days, the Convention will feature conferences, champion and trainer panels, autograph sessions, social events, and a gala dinner, along with special tributes to boxing icons who have left an indelible legacy.
About Amir Khan:
Born on December 8, 1986, in Bolton, England, Amir Khan is recognized as one of the most talented and charismatic fighters of his generation. With blazing speed and an offensive, fan-friendly style, Khan became one of the brightest stars of modern British boxing.
In 2014, he captured the WBC Silver Welterweight Title with a unanimous decision victory over Luis Collazo, showcasing his technical brilliance and maturity. Later, in 2019, he claimed the WBC International Welterweight Title by stopping Australian Billy Dib, reaffirming his quality and competitive spirit inside the ring.
Beyond titles, Amir Khan has been a true ambassador of the sport, using his platform to inspire younger generations and support humanitarian causes through the Amir Khan Foundation.
