A total of 450 boxers participated in the male and female categories, representing 17 states of Mexico.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Among the participating delegations were: Aguascalientes, Baja California, Baja California Sur, Mexico City, Chiapas, State of Mexico, Guanajuato, Hidalgo, Jalisco, Nuevo Le\u00f3n, Oaxaca, Puebla, Quintana Roo, Sonora, Tamaulipas, Veracruz, and Zacatecas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/wbcboxing.com\/amateur\/esp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/Mauricio2torneo-WBC-otomi-7_edited-1024x575.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-911\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;I am very proud of this national Green and Gold Tournament, which is made possible through the effort of everyone involved: boxers, coaches, and organizers. Boxing is the sport that has brought Mexico the highest number of Olympic medals and more than 200 world champions,&#8221; said Mauricio Sulaim\u00e1n.<br>This championship was a resounding success, highlighting the organization and adherence to the WBC Amateur regulations, with medical services, ambulances, and designated officials.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/wbcboxing.com\/amateur\/esp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/torneo-WBC-otomi-3_edited-1024x755.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-910\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>In the Children&#8217;s category, in the 42-44 kg division, the favorite Juan P\u00e9rez &#8220;El G\u00fcerito de Tepito&#8221; won by split decision 30-27, 28-29, and 27-30 against Cristofer Septi\u00e9n from Zacatecas. In other Children&#8217;s bouts, in the 37-40 kg category, M\u00e1ximo S\u00e1nchez from the State of Mexico won by absence of Francisco Sede\u00f1o from Veracruz; in the 40-42 kg category, Jes\u00fas Ju\u00e1rez Carrillo from the State of Mexico defeated Oliver Mateos from Puebla by unanimous decision, and in the 44-46 kg category, David D\u00edaz from Mexico City won by unanimous decision against Ismael Guadarrama from the State of Mexico.<br>In the Children&#8217;s female category, in the 46-48 kg division, Kenia Yoselin from the State of Mexico defeated Ximena Montserrath from Jalisco by unanimous decision, and in the 53-55 kg division, Marely Garc\u00eda from Veracruz won by absence of Yisel Guadalupe from Puebla.<br>In more results, in the Children&#8217;s male category, in the 50-53 kg division, Ian de la Torre from Zacatecas knocked out Neyman David L\u00f3pez from Baja California in the third round, and in the 53-55 kg division, Francisco Solorio from Jalisco won by absence against Pedro Gabriel Ya\u00f1ez from the State of Mexico. In the 55-57 kg division, Rams\u00e9s Rivera from Baja California Sur won by unanimous decision against Dilan Ortiz from Mexico City, and in the 63-66 kg division, Josep \u00c1lvarez from the State of Mexico won by unanimous decision against Darey Carrillo from Sonora.<br>In the Elite category, in the 48-48 kg division, Axel Valenzuela from Sonora imposed his power to knock out Marco Antonio T\u00f3rres from Mexico City in the third round, and in the 48-51 kg division, Rub\u00e9n Chaires from Zacatecas won by TKO against Sa\u00fal Le\u00f3n from Puebla in three rounds. In the 54-57 kg division, Brayan Guti\u00e9rrez from Jalisco won by unanimous decision against Mario Jasiel Ruiz from Baja California.<br>In the Elite female category, in the 51-54 kg division, Sindy Salazar from Baja California became champion by winning by unanimous decision against Yoselia S\u00e1nchez from Mexico City, and in the 54-57 kg division, Karina Esper\u00f3n from Mexico City won by absence, and in the 60-63 kg division, Xiomara Montes from Mexico City won by split decision against Betzabe Lara from Quintana Roo.<br>In more female finals, in the 63-66 kg division, Mariana Sarai Hernandez from Jalisco won by split decision against Margarita Garc\u00eda from Mexico City, and in the Children&#8217;s 50-53 kg division, Janeth Torres from Tijuana became champion by absence.<br>In the 64-66 kg division, in a duel between athletes from Mexico City, Ian de Luna knocked out Benjamin Estrada in three rounds; in the 66-69 kg division, Joel Patricio from Jalisco won by unanimous decision against Eric Rodr\u00edguez, and in the 69-72 kg division, Jos\u00e9 Renteria won by split decision against Cristian L\u00f3pez.<br>In the Youth&#8217;s female category, in the 51-54 kg division, Valeria P\u00e9rez from the State of Mexico won by unanimous decision against Noemi Rodriguez, and in the 45-47 kg division, Aidee Monserrat Reyes from Mexico City won by split decision against Citlali Hilario.<br>In the Youth&#8217;s male category, in the 58-60 kg division, Cristofer Dami\u00e1n from Jalisco defeated Edwin Jes\u00fas Prieto from Veracruz by decision, and in the 54-57 kg division, Edgar Meza from Tijuana won by split decision against Adalberto Jes\u00fas, and in the 58-60 kg division, Joshua Akexander won by split decision against Mateo Ram\u00edrez from Tijuana.<br>Cristofer Figueroa from Tijuana won by split decision against Luis Padilla, Javier Alvarez knocked out Carlos Sebasti\u00e1n in one round, Gerson Tejeda won by walkover, and Juan Pablo Campos won by unanimous decision against Kevin Mendoza.<br>The day concluded with Wendy Mart\u00ednez winning by decision against Rosa Isela Romero, Pablo Padilla by absence, Jos\u00e9 Zamora by walkover, Gloriela Alonso by unanimous decision against Alondra Ramos, and Diego Santana by first-round knockout against Dilan Romero.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/wbcboxing.com\/amateur\/esp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/Mauriciotorneo-WBC-otomi-1-1024x575.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-913\"\/><\/figure>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The tournament, which began last Friday with the presence of WBC President Mauricio Sulaim\u00e1n, concluded this Sunday with a grand ceremony at the majestic Otom\u00ed Ceremonial Center in Temoaya, State of Mexico.
