Halloween Fight Fest: Boxing, Community, and Trust in Action

The last weekend of October, the LAPD, TORKLAW, and WBC Amateur joined forces for the Halloween Fight Fest Amateur Boxing Show — an inspiring community event that perfectly captured the spirit of unity, discipline, and respect through sport.

Young amateur boxers stepped into the ring showing extraordinary heart, skill, and sportsmanship, while families, community members, and law enforcement cheered them on in an atmosphere of celebration and support.

Beyond the excitement of the matches, the event carried a deeper purpose: strengthening the relationship between law enforcement and the communities they serve. By providing meaningful, positive spaces for interaction and mentorship, initiatives like these help build mutual trust and a sense of shared commitment to the wellbeing of our neighborhoods.

Special thanks go to Councilwoman Rodriguez and Captain Cynthia Robertson, who attended the event to personally thank the WBC for its ongoing collaboration and support in amateur boxing programs throughout the past year and a half.

While a few procedural matters with USA Boxing were handled with professionalism and respect, the WBC Amateur remains fully committed to working together to continue growing amateur boxing across the country.

The next major event is already on the horizon — the LAPD Baker to Vegas show, scheduled for March 2025, where the WBC Amateur will team up with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department for another memorable experience of sport and community impact.

A heartfelt thank you to all the fighters, coaches, volunteers, and partners who made the Halloween Fight Fest possible. Together, we’re not just organizing boxing events — we’re building safer communities and inspiring the next generation of champions.
