The WBC Amateur Shines in Oman with High-Level Bouts and Clear Rules

On June 28, Oman established itself as a new focal point for boxing in Western Asia, hosting an event that combined professional and amateur fights in a night of outstanding sporting quality.

The WBC Amateur took part with three official bouts in Muscat, the capital and most populous city of Oman, reaffirming its commitment to developing boxers under the highest technical and ethical standards. These contests were conducted in full compliance with WBC rules, ensuring safety and professionalism both inside and outside the ring.

Held at the Sheraton Oman Hotel, the event drew a large crowd of fans and marked an important step toward positioning Oman on the global combat sports scene, as observed by Oksana Semenishina, a leading figure of WBC Amateur in the region.

The fight card featured athletes from Iran, Lebanon, Syria, Pakistan, Japan, Kazakhstan, and India, alongside local representatives from Oman.

The WBC Amateur congratulates all participants and organizers for the success of the event and reminds the entire boxing community of the importance of respecting every aspect of the regulations and prioritizing the safety of our athletes to ensure that boxing continues to grow within a framework of order, respect, and opportunity for all.
