Chris Eubank Jr. proved why some see the Brighton man as the rock solid favorite for the World Boxing Super Series,  with a pulverizing  triumph over previously undefeated Avni Yildirim.

Eubank Jr. dominated from the off, dropping Yildirim,  in the first with his trademark short right uppercut, before putting together a snappy flurry of punches in the third to soften the Turkish challenger up and send him down and this time...out.

In the end, it was a massive left hook that halted the contest,  as Yildirim took its full force to the side of the face and then went down hard. He was in no position to continue the contest. Referee Leszek Jankowick immediatly waved it off two seconds shy of two minutes.  Avni managed to get up, but was dazed, wobbling  and in no position to properly defend himself.

Chris Eubank moves onwards and upwards  to face the winner of George Groves v Jamie Cox next week and will be a considerably shorter price to lift the Ali Trophy, following  this very impressive result.
