American Claressa Shields (3-0, 1 KO) defeated Sydney LeBlanc (4-2-1) by UD to capture the World Boxing Council's Silver Super Middleweight Championship in the main event of card staged in Detroit , Michigan, United States, with three judges all scoring it 80-72.

Shields was initially expected to face Mery Rancier (7-8-3, 5 KOs) from the Dominican Republic, but the match was canceled due to a visa problem.

Shields, 22, is now willing and ready to face more top echelon fighters in the sport.

"I want to face fighters like Tori Nelson, Nikki Adler, and Christina Hammer because I feel like I have the skills to beat them," Shields said.

Busy Shields captured the North American Boxing Federation with a fourth-round TKO over Szilvia Szabados in March.
