Srisaket Sor Rungvisai was born in 1986, into a sports family, steeped in the tradition of  Muay Thai,  which is the national sport of Thailand. .

A united and loving family with no frills, so the young Sor Rungvisai lived humbly. His Parents, of course, were primarily  concerned about putting  food on the table and to give their children the best.
Everyone had to work from a young age.

With a indomitable heart and a single minded determination to succeed, Srisaket at just 13 years old, undertook the adventure of going in search of a better future, by moving to Bangkok.

Tired, sore, hungry and thirsty, he hoped that light at the end of the tunnel, would tell him that his luck was about to change. He  had to walk 60 miles to apply for a job!

Srisaket recalled his most intimate memories and pangs of  those challenging days, when fighting at fairs for little money.  One morning he decided to meet with coach Saithong, at a small local boxing gym in Bangkok, where he began his career as a boxer.

Determined not to give up,  Srisaket asked his coach and Pisitwuttinan Thainchai-promoter of the Nakornloung company, for the opportunity to train at his gym and show that he had the capabilities to be a great champion.

It did not take long for Thainchai Pisitwuttinan to see the essence of a warrior!  Srisaket shone, as  young brave, determined, disciplined and eager to succeed.  So he was signed by Promotions Nakornloung.

His single minded determination to become  a boxing star and being under the care of his promoter dramatically progressed his career. So much so, that he won 17 consecutive fights all by knockout. During this ascent, he conquered the WBC Asian title, which he defended four times.

But this was just the beginning of glory, as on May 3rd, 2013 Srisaket became a national hero by winning the WBC super flyweight title in a war against Japan`s Yota Sato, via a TKO in the eighth round.

Srisaket Sor Rungvisai, who arrives to this thrilling commitment with a record of 41 fights, 38 KO´S , 4 losses and a draw, wants to continue making history. Accordingly,  he has a difficult mission, to face the best pound for pound fighter of today. The four division World Boxing council supremo and WBC super flyweight champion,  Roman "Chocolatito" Gonzalez, will make the first defense of his crown on March 18 at the Madison Square Garden in New York.
