To become the first Mexican world champion in the super middleweight division is one more reason that motivates Marco Antonio Peribán (20-0, 13KO) to defeat the Australian Sakio Bika (31-5-2, 21KO) and become the WBC supermiddleweight champion.
“I’m very excited to get this chance, I’m motivated for this fight and to become champion. To make history by becoming the first Mexican in conquering a title in the super middleweight division”  Periban said.
Periban still gets excited to remember the day he was notified he was going to fight for the title on June 22 at the Barclays Center in New York. He finally saw the reward of  5 years of hard work training under the management of Manuel Lopez.
“Bika is a very strong fighter, very experienced but he has many technical deficiencies. He bases all his fights in the power of his fists, that’s why our plan is boxing with great foot work and to counter him” Periban said.
“The title is what I have always wanted, I will conquered it with hard work and finally will make my dream come true”.
