Eduardo "Ratón" Mojica, one the most important boxers of Nicaragua  in an ongoing sterling tradition led by the late great Alexis Arguello, is receiving his pension from the WBC.

Mojica faced and defeated the best boxers of his time, including the world champion Chartchai Chinonoi in 1968.

Mojica, 73, didn’t conquer the title because when he faced Chartchai the title was not in the line.

Eduardo will receive 2,500 USD every 3 months.

“I’m so happy” said the boxer, who now dedicates himself to train boxing prospects in Managua.

Mojica build up a record of 52-23, with 23 KO’s, and fought from the 60’s to 70’s.
He’s been a member of the Sports Hall of Fame of Nicaragua since 1995.
