World Boxing Council super featherweight champion Miguel "Alacrán" Berchelt, will defend his crown against the dangerous and capable Argentine Jonathan Barros, on Saturday June 23 in Merida, Yucatan, Mexico.

The champion holds a record of 33-1 with 29 knockouts, which is one of the highest percentages of KO'S for the division. He comes from knocking out Ghanaian Maxwell Awuku in three rounds, making the second successful defense of his world title.

Barros, has a victory over Miguel "Mickey" Román, who is Berchelt's current mandatory challenger. He has 41 victories, 22 of them by fast track, plus five losses, only one by knockout, and a draw.
