Former Super Welterweight World Champion Austin Trout (31-4, 17 KOs) is gearing himself for a collission with WBC super welterweight champion Jermell Charlo on Saturday at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

"I really believe that I am the best and to prove it I have to beat the champions ... no matter what Jermell Charlo brings, I am ready to defeat him," vows Austin, stressing:  "People are underestimating me.  I've gained respect in this sport, I've defeated champions and won titles, I've lost in controversial decisions against good champions. Now...this is my moment. I started boxing as a child to defend people who were bothered, and now I continue doing it in the ring.

"This fight I call 'finishing the mission.' I'm in a dangerous division that is full of talent, it's one of the main divisions in my opinion, we're all good fighters, it will be a good clash of styles, but I have the speed, power and brain to become green and gold world champion. "
