"Wright on," as superbly talented defensive fighter  Ronald "Winky" Wright, who was the first man to hold the WBC, WBA and IBF super welter titles simultaneously, will this weekend be inducted into the International Hall of Fame, at Canastota, NY.

"Winky" will forever be remembered for his victories over "Sugar" Shane Mosley (twice) and Felix "Tito" Trinidad. Born on November 26, 1971, he debuted as pro in 1990, building a great career until his retirement in 2012, after being defeated by Peter Quillin.

"Winky", who was also   NABF champion, reached the crowning zeneth  of his career in 2004, when he defeated Shane Mosley in a fabulous fight, winning the WBC super welterweight title.  In the rematch, the tonic of the combat was of a rare plus fine vintage, with Winky again  mixing it up to win.

Ronald "Winky" Wright, always a brave, elusive intelligent fighter with a huge heart.  His induction into the International Hall of Fame is fully deserved.  It's the culmination of a brilliant career.

Congratulations Winky!
