An action packed June, sprinkled with an array of quality WBC fights.
 
June 9: Jermell Charlo vs. Austin Trout / California
 
Jermell Charlo will make the third defense of his 154 pounds crown against an experienced opponent in Austin Trout, who comes to this match after a victory over Juan De Angel.  Charlo, who's not known for hanging around,  halted Erickson Lubin in the very first round last October.
 
June 9: Leo Santa Cruz vs. Abner Mares / California
 
What a peach of a classic, when Leo  Santa Cruz and Abner Mares clashex in 2015, serving up a feast of a fight,  held at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. Back  then, Leo was able to defeat Abner.  So Abner vows to even it up and take Leo's  WBC Diamond belt.
 
June 16: Devon Alexander vs. Andre Berto / Texas
 
Two former champions and warriors of the ring will be face to face in an elimination  bout,. Namely ex world champion Andre Berto and Devon  Alexander. Devon comes from a tie against Víctor Ortiz while Andre  was defeated by Shawn Porter.
 
June 16: Tina Rupprecht vs. Yokasta Valley / Germany
 
Costa Rican Yokasta Valle is training hard towards the clash she will have with Germany's Christina Tina Rupprecht. The vacant WBC female minimum weight title is on the line. Valle, 25, will seek to get her 14th career victory, after falling last December by unanimous decision against   Japan's Naoko Fujioka.
 
June 22: Christina Hammer vs. Tori Nelson / United States
 
The WBC middleweight champion, Christina Hammer against  former world champion Tori Nelson in a fight that is expected to be a mountainous war. Hammer comes to defend her crown, after last November, knocking out Gifty Amanua Ankrah from Ghana. While Nelson comes from losing against superstar Claressa Shields.
 
June 23: Josh Taylor vs. Viktor Postol / United Kingdom and Ukraine
 
Former WBC world champion Viktor Postol is determined to regain the green and gold belt which  he lost to Terence Crawford in 2016. For this to happen he must  defeat unbeaten  Josh Taylor, who's current silver champion in the super lightweight division.
 
June 23: Miguel Berchelt vs. Jonathan Barros / Mexico and Argentina
 
Miguel Berchelt will make the third defense of his crown in the beautiful city of Mérida, against a dangerous former World  champion from Argentina. None  other than...Jonathan Barros.  Interestingly Barros has a victory over Miguel "Mickey" Roman, Berchelt's current mandatory challenger. "Alacran"  comes from knocking out Maxwell Awuku in three rounds.
